John J. Duguay proudly represents veterans in their claims before the Veterans Administration. John joined After Service in late 2020, bringing his wealth of experience in fighting for injured clients and those in difficult circumstances and in need of zealous advocacy.
Prior to joining the firm, John worked as a litigation attorney at one of Colorado’s largest and most successful personal injury firms. John is well-versed in all aspects of injury litigation, particularly in establishing injury causation, an invaluable skill in his VA Benefits practice. Prior to relocating to Colorado in 2015, John worked as assigned counsel for prison inmates in Connecticut challenging the constitutionality of their convictions through habeas corpus petitions. John is honored to bring his litigation and advocacy experience to bear in order to help our nation’s veterans.
John earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Vermont and his law degree at the University of Connecticut. While attending the University of Connecticut School of Law, John gained a wide range of experience with internships at the United States Attorney’s Office, United States District Court, and the University of Connecticut School of Law Tax Clinic. John also served as an editor of the Connecticut Law Review and member of the Connecticut Moot Court Board. John currently lives in Denver, CO with his wife, daughter, and Boston Terrier.
