Considering I benefited from Connecticut’s veteran programs, it’s right that I  review of some of the more popular state benefits available to Connecticut vets. In my opinion, the most helpful benefits are:

  • Tuition waiver at the University of Connecticut, any Connecticut State University, as well as any Connecticut Community-Technical College
  • $1500 property tax exemption
  • 50% state income tax exemption on military retirement pay

VA Offering Dental Insurance Program for the First Time Ever

The VA announced earlier this month the start of the VA Dental Insurance Program (VADIP), which allows veterans who are enrolled in VA health care to purchase dental insurance through Delta Dental or MetLife.
